Converting Slovianska TPP with the central coal pulverizing plant from anthracite to sub-bituminous coal

Purpose. To develop scientific foundations and technical solutions to implement the converting of anthracite boiler 800 MW unit Slovianska TPP with central coal pulverizing plant sub-bituminous combustion maximum use existing equipment, without stopping unit’s operation. Methodology. Theoretical calculational studies on processes drying at plant. Calculational justification eliminate risk pulverized ignition in supply system burners. Trial tests unit. Findings. The technological features steam panel dryers designed for peculiarities process an individual particle were analyzed. It is substantiated that first stages takes place according “wet bulb thermometer” mechanism, safe conditions are determined confirmed by tests. Technical burners calculated implemented, which allows different grades (anthracite, their mixtures) changing composition air duct equipment burners, using only operational measures. Originality. For time, it was proved unventilated ball drum mills determined. Practical value. developed implemented convert a burning maximal operation, including modes pulverizing, as well various mixtures feeding combustion. As result implementation solutions, power became world capable separately or form wide range compositions.
